PASTOR Rev Malcolm Boulter |

Malcolm Boulter was ordained into the ministry and inducted as the
Pastor of South Chingford Congregational Church in 1989 on his fortieth
birthday. Prior to this he
had been a school teacher for fifteen years in West Sussex and Essex
teaching primary and secondary aged children.
His specialist subject is music and he trained as a musician in
Colchester and at the Royal College of Music in London gaining an ARCM
in singing. During his
student and teaching years he sang in the choir of Chichester Cathedral,
was Musical Director for Opera 70, and sang in a vocal group called
Close Harmony. In 1966 he
took over as Conductor and Musical Director of Tiptree and District
Choral Society in Essex, a position he still holds today.
He also continues to lead a vocal group called The Connoisseurs
and goes out entertaining various clubs and organisations.
As well as singing and conducting, he also plays the piano and
keyboard
Malcolm is also very involved in the music within the church and runs
CongChord, our choir. They
take part in our Family Celebrations as well as going out to sing in
other churches and prisons.
They have also made a CD of a musical called 'On the Way' which Malcolm
wrote especially for the church's centenary celebrations in 2003.
Malcolm is married to Pauline and they have three children; two girls.
both married, and one son, single but living and working away from home.
